For Spring Break this year we took a little trip to Tempe to visit Papa Todd and Gramma Joy! It was so fun to get away from the snow for a week!
A LOT of time was spent in the pool!
| Lilly |
| Ellie's water ballet |
| Ben getting tossed |
| More tossing |
| Daddy trying to pull Ellie in! |
| Swimming cutie! |
| Just kickin' back |
| Lilly's seat kept falling back...She would go to lay back, and it would collapse...it was kinda cute... |
| I don't know...do you think he'll float? |
So if you're wondering why Maddie isn't in any of these shots...
It's because the day we arrived she stood up in the bathtub, slipped and split her chin open. Yup. Three stitches.
She looks traumatized, huh?
We played at the playground:
| Ellie making a fairy salad |
And at the Mall:
| Maddie in the Jeep...she loved taking people for 'rides to outer space.' |
And we visited the Phoenix Zoo! Although it was a warm day, we saw lots of cool animals!
| Ferocious animals |
| Riding a Comodo Dragon |
On the way home we stayed in Kanab, so Ellie could do some research for her County report. She was assigned Kane County, which borders Arizona! Perfect!
| Outside Moqui Cave |
| Taking a little hike |
| (Had to get one of Mom, too!) |
We also stopped for a little hike in Bryce Canyon...and went to Mossy Cave, which is right outside of Tropic, UT...where I went to Kindergarten way back in the day!
We took tons of pictures and everyone had a great time!! We can't wait to visit again! Thanks Papa and Gramma for the fun times!!!

Looks like Tempe was the place to be this Spring! I love the scenery in your Kanab pictures. Makes me homesick for some real desert:)
Looks like you all had a GREAT time! I wish we could have been a stopping point. Next time. (And! I thought for a minute that was a REAL Komodo dragon those kids were riding! Spooky!)
Great photos! Thank YOU for coming all that way to visit! We sure enjoyed having you :o)
P.S. You didn't mention how brave everyone was to go swimming in an unheated pool!
