The kids were watching Prince Caspian, and they were at the part during the final battle scene, where the trees appear. This is what was over-heard:
Lilly, age 4: "Why is there sad music at this part?"
Ellie, age 9: "It's not sad. It's *dramatic. Ya' know, like, serious with a mix of adventure in it."
*Yes. She is.

How right you are about Ellie! (But, Grandma and I were also impressed with Lilly's sensitivity to the poignancy of that part of the movie... an astute observation.)
